How to Set Up Tipping / TTS on Streamable
Set up Tipping / TTS so viewers can send tips through Stripe, choose whether their tip is read aloud, and show alerts on your stream.
What Tipping / TTS does
Tipping / TTS gives viewers a page where they can choose an amount, leave a message, choose whether it is read aloud, and pay securely with Stripe. Each paid tip can show an alert on your stream.
Each tip has a 5% Streamable platform fee plus Stripe processing fees. The remaining amount is added to your Streamable earnings and paid out with your other income.
Step 1:Connect Stripe for payouts
Open Settings › Earnings and finish Stripe setup so Streamable can pay you. If you already receive payouts for other features, you are all set.
Step 2:Open Tipping / TTS
Sign in to Streamable and open Tipping / TTS from the sidebar, or open it directly from the link below.
Step 3:Enable Tipping / TTS and add it to OBS
In Setup, turn on Enable Tipping / TTS. Then turn on Add Tipping / TTS Browser Source to Streamable Remote OBS scenes. Streamable adds one browser source for alerts and TTS playback to every Streamable Remote OBS scene. Turn it off to remove the source again.
If you manage OBS yourself, copy the Tipping / TTS Browser Source link and add it to OBS with browser-source audio enabled.
Step 4:Customize your payment page
In Payment page, set a title, description, and thank-you message. Choose the minimum and maximum tip, preset amounts, and whether viewers can attach a message.
Step 5:Set up alerts and TTS
In Alerts, choose the animation, font size, text color, background, photo or GIF, sound, and how long alerts stay on screen. Use Send test alert to check the Tipping / TTS Browser Source in OBS.
In TTS, leave Allow TTS messages on if tippers should be able to choose a voice and attach a spoken message. Choose the default voice and configure moderation for spoken tip messages. Turn the setting off to remove TTS controls from the public tip page.
In Queue, choose Auto to play paid tips immediately or Manual to approve each paid tip before its alert and TTS play. Removing a tip from the queue stops playback but does not refund the payment.
Step 6:Share your tip page
Copy the Tip page link from Setup and add it to your stream's About section and panels so viewers can find it anytime.
Keep the browser source link private. If it leaks, regenerate it from Setup and replace it in OBS.
Step 7:Track earnings
Earnings shows your tip totals, recent tips, the 5% Streamable fee, Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 processing fee, and the monthly payout schedule. Payout history, balances, and Stripe details live in Settings › Earnings.
