Hey there! Streamable helps IRL streamers stay live through brief connection drops. Features include Premium Cloud Streaming Servers, Stream Drop Protection, Clips Players, Remote OBS, Multiple Ingests, Collaborative Streaming, DDoS protection, and much more! If you're a streamer, let us help you out!

Which chat bot should you use on Twitch and Kick?

Streamable (streamable.run) has a chatbot that does one job the others don't list: it lets you and, on Twitch, your moderators control your Remote OBS from chat with commands like !scene, !startstream and !bitrate. Nightbot (nightbot.com) and Botrix (botrix.live) are general-purpose chat bots for automating chat and moderation.

If you stream from a phone or backpack and want to switch to a BRB scene or reset a dropped ingest without opening a laptop, use the Streamable chatbot. If you want chat moderation, timers and viewer features, use Nightbot or Botrix. Many streamers will want both, and the setup below keeps them from clashing.

Streamable column checked against Streamable's current code on 2026-11-05. Nightbot: docs.nightbot.tv and nightbot.com, 2026-11-05. Botrix: botrix.live page title and Chrome Web Store listing, 2026-11-05. "Not listed" means the pages we read don't mention it, not that the bot can't do it. Check each bot's own docs before relying on a row.

What the Streamable chatbot does

Once you link a Twitch or Kick account and the badge reads Permission Granted, you turn on that platform's switch and type commands in your own chat. YouTube is supported in the same screen.

Commands match OBS scene and source names without caring about capitals. !scene "Starting Soon" switches scenes. !show and !hide change a source in every scene it appears in. !startstream and !endstream start or stop the active OBS stream. !bitrate replies with the current ingest bitrate. !reset or !fix resets the ingest in the current scene.

By default only the broadcaster account can run these. On Twitch you can turn on Allow Twitch Mods to Use Commands; Kick doesn't have that option. Command Aliases let you shorten the common ones, for example to map a word of your own to !scene BRB.

The chatbot also posts stream updates in chat (scene changes, stream start and end, signal loss and recovery), and lets you switch follow, subscription, gift and raid alerts on or off through Chat Alerts, sends saved replies to viewer commands such as !socials, and can post a reminder at the interval you pick. Setup steps are in How to Set Up Chatbot on Streamable.

What Nightbot and Botrix are for

Nightbot's own docs describe it as "a chat bot for Twitch, YouTube, Trovo, and SOOP", with documentation sections for Commands, Variables and Spam Protection. Its site says it helps streamers automate live chat messages and moderation. We did not find Kick in that platform list on November 5, 2026. If you stream on Kick, check Nightbot's docs again before you plan around it.

Botrix's site calls it a cloud streaming bot for Twitch, Kick, YouTube and Discord. Its Chrome Web Store listing describes text-to-speech for Twitch and Kick chat controlled by your Botrix commands and spam filtering, custom and third-party emotes, a YouTube storefront with rewards viewers redeem with Botrix points, and Kick account linking with subscription sync. Botrix's site loads as a web app, so we could not read a full command reference. Treat anything beyond the listing as something to confirm in its dashboard.

Neither source lists OBS scene control. That is the gap the Streamable chatbot fills, and it is also the reason this isn't a straight either-or choice.

How to run Streamable's chatbot next to Nightbot or Botrix

1. Give each bot its own command words. If Streamable has !scene and your other bot also answers !scene, viewers get two replies. Keep OBS control words on Streamable and viewer-facing words such as !socials or !discord on the other bot.

2. Keep Streamable's OBS commands to yourself, or to Twitch moderators you trust. A scene switch is visible to every viewer, and Streamable's commands are off for moderators until you turn the option on.

3. Decide who replies in chat. Streamable can post stream updates and chat alerts. If your other bot already posts follow or raid messages, turn off the overlapping Chat Alerts in Streamable so chat doesn't repeat itself.

4. Test from your phone's chat view with a scene change you don't mind viewers seeing, or before you go live: type !scene BRB, confirm OBS switches, then type !bitrate.

Who should pick which

Pick the Streamable chatbot alone if you mostly need scene, source and stream control from chat, plus a few saved replies, and you already stream with Remote OBS.

Pick Nightbot or Botrix alone if you stream from your own desktop OBS, want chat moderation, timers or viewer features, and don't need to control OBS from chat. Match it to your platform: Nightbot's docs don't list Kick, Botrix's site does.

Run both if you stream IRL from a phone: Streamable for scenes and ingest resets, the other bot for everything viewers see.

For a chat display on stream instead of a bot, see the free chat overlay, which combines Twitch, Kick and YouTube chat in one OBS browser source.

Open only if you still need extra troubleshooting context.

Does Nightbot work on Kick?

Nightbot's documentation at docs.nightbot.tv describes it as a chat bot for Twitch, YouTube, Trovo and SOOP. Kick is not in that list as of November 5, 2026. Check Nightbot's docs for the latest before you rely on it for a Kick channel.

Can a chat bot switch my OBS scenes?

The Streamable chatbot can. With it on, !scene <name> switches your Remote OBS scene, and !brb and !soon are shortcuts for BRB and Starting Soon. Neither Nightbot's nor Botrix's pages we checked list OBS scene control.

Can I use Streamable's chatbot and Botrix together on Kick?

Yes, as long as they don't answer the same command words. Keep OBS commands such as !scene and !bitrate on Streamable and put viewer commands on Botrix.

Can my Kick moderators use Streamable chatbot commands?

Not today. The Allow Mods to Use Commands option exists for Twitch only. On Kick, only the connected broadcaster account can run the OBS commands.
